DIY: How to Make Your Own Anti-Slip Sole

Materials:
1. Traction Tape (You can buy them from any hardware store) For wider|bigger size tape, click HERE
2. Scissors
3. Blank Paper for Template
4. Pencil (to trace template)
5. Ruler (If you'd like a precise line for your template)
6. Your shoes

Hello everyone! Today, I am sharing a DIY on how to make your own anti-slip/skid sole for your shoes, also to protect your soles from wear. I have purchase a few sole protectors and they can be expensive, like for example; $30 for 3 pairs of sole protector and you have to replace them after many uses, and it can get very pricey to maintain. So I discovered while browsing around a hardware store and found a traction tape and thought, why not use that? Make sense right?  For a roll of the traction tape, I paid $12.99 and can be used for so many shoes (I got the thinner taper)! Also, it provides anti-slip action compare to other products that only protects your shoes' sole.

So far, I am loving this idea. It works pretty good I can walk without worrying of slipping especially on tiles! Also, if you like to match the color of the anti-slip sole to the sole of your shoes, you can definitely spray paint it and also works great!

I hope you enjoy this DIY!

  11. Ee, how helpful! I'm generally a clumsy person and I'm a heel (and I mean HEEL) kind of girl, so those two really don't mix together, haha, but these will definitely be helpful! Also, stunning photos!
